You can configure the visibility for each extended profile field individually.
Navigate to Settings in the administration menu and select the Extended profile button.

If you do not find this option, please follow the steps described here.
Create a new field or edit a previously created one by clicking on the pencil icon. Change the Visibility to Public (all employees).

There are a number of functions available for visibility in the contact list. They have the following effects:
The field is not displayed in the contact list.

The field is displayed in one line.

The field is displayed with a line break.

The field is not displayed in the contact list, but the entered values can still be searched for.
